The courses covered grammar and writing, reading and vocabulary development, listening and note-taking, and speaking and conversation. The English and study skills were provided in order to prepare the students to start their first step in learning in the university, particularly with learning using English as a medium of instruction. The students were divided into 4 groups and had classes from 9 am to 4 pm on Monday to Friday. In this way, the freshmen students were able to practice every skill every day. One of the highlights of the courses was students had opportunities to do group activities that focused on discussing, creating, and presenting skills aiming to let them learn how to work in group effectively every Friday of the week.
