On August 28, 2019, NUIC quality assurance assessment (faculty level) took place. The assessment covered the period from August 2018 – July 2019. The QA assessors were Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuanchawee Sangchai , President of Committee from Khon Kaen University (Chair) and Asst. Prof. Lt. Wachira Punpairoj, Aj.Thanawat Khwanboon two lecturers from Faculty of Business, Economics and Communications Naresuan University.
In an effort to fulfill one of the commitments of NUIC, the Research and Academic Services Section organized the Research Skills Development Project on August 29, 2019 from 9:00 – 3:00 p.m. at NUIC Meeting Room. NUIC students participated in Live Streaming Training at CITCOMS (CENTER FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND COMMUNICATION SERVICES) from Mr.Danuwat Pachanapan Head of learning and teaching media department (Acting) on 28 August 2019. The students were warmly welcomed, trained the procedures of Live Streaming, introduced the equipment, and trained Facebook live. As NUIC focuses on learning by doing, this activity enhanced the understanding and the student future career path.
Dr. Supichaya Meesad, The Director of Naresuan University International College together with Aj.Saranporn Kirdkoh, Deputy Director for Administration attended ‘Retreat with Naresuan University Council and Administrators’ on the 24th of August 2019, 10:00 am – 8:00 pm. at Sriwilai Hotel, Sukhothai. In the morning session, there was a special lecture by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Soranit Siltharm, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) on the topic ‘ Higher Education’s Role in Adapting to a Changing Climate to Move Thailand Forward.’ In the afternoon session, brainstorming was held to visualize the future of Naresuan University.
The NUIC held a lecturer orientation on August 23, 2019 to officially welcome the new lecturers at NUIC: Dr. Oleg Shovkovyy (IBM major), Ms. Anna Stepanova (Tourism major) and Ms. Sopit Jenpradab (EBC major). Topics discussed included the four main responsibilities of lecturers at Naresuan University: teaching, research, academic services and preservation of arts and culture. Dr. Eugenia A. The Naresuan University International College (NUIC) joined in the celebration of the 23rd anniversary of the Faculty of Nursing on August 19, 2019. The NUIC Director, Dr. Supichaya Meesad presented a bouquet of flowers for wishing the Faculty the best.
One of NUIC’s International Business Management lecturer, Dr. Oleg Shovkovyy was invited as a keynote speaker in the 13th International Conference on Business, Economics, Law, Language & Psychology (ICBELLP), held at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Conference Center, Bangkok, Thailand on July 25 – 26, 2019.
The Naresuan University International College (NUIC) headed by Dr. Supichaya Meesad (Director) together with Dr. Eugenia A. Boa (Deputy Director for Research and International Relations) joined the opening ceremony of the NU’s Exhibition on 30 careers for society on August 15, 2019, 9:00 a.m. at Ekatosarot Building. There were booths which showcased 30 interesting careers that society can engaged in. The NU President, Professor Dr. Kanchana Ngourungsi presided the ceremony.
Big congratulations to all the winners of the recently concluded NUIC Star 2019 Singing and Cheering Competitions! The NUIC Academic Services Section organized a singing competition on August 19, 2019, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Faculty of Science, Naresuan University which coincided with the celebration of the Science Week. The main objectives of this singing competition were: 1) To provide opportunity for high school students to enhance their English competency; 2) To motivate students to use English language; and 3) To promote NUIC at the same time. On August 6, 2019, Dr. Supichaya Meesad, Ms. Rachatawan Limkanchanapa, and Mrs. Yukiko Vorasingha had welcomed the representatives from Anabuki College (Japan), Mr. Shinichiro Ikeshita and Ms. Sataporn Tantanee. The discussion included the programs exchange information as such Anabuki College offers many Japanese courses, Vocational programs, and Japan Study Short Trip. As NUIC has offered Japanese courses for NUIC students as a third language, the students who would like to further their study in Japan would be able to study short courses as well as opportunities have part-time job in Japan.
