As a part of Naresuan University International College’s (NUIC) aspirations to foster collaboration with partners around the globe, several universities and a government agency were visited on April 3-7, 2019 in Japan. The NUIC executives including, Dr. Supichaya Meesad (NUIC Director) and Dr. Eugenia A. Boa (Deputy Director for Research and International Relations) represented the College.
The universities visited were Osaka International University, Osaka and Aichi University, Nagoya Campus. The possibilities of cultural exchange, research collaboration, internship opportunities, lecturer and staff exchange, volunteer work between NUIC and the mentioned universities were among the topics extensively discussed during the meetings. Productive discussions on the topics ensued.
The Unzen Tourism Board, Unzen City, a government agency responsible for promoting tourism in the area discussed with NUIC executives the possibility of entering in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the main emphasis on the possibility of student’s internship.
With the positive feedback from the meetings, more work has to be done. Bearing in mind the vision of NUIC of producing graduates with marketable skills, NUIC is dedicating itself in making its vision possible for the benefit of students.
