IHRMD Academic Service Project at Watyang-en School
On August 2, 2024, the International Human Resource Management and Development (IHRMD) department at Naresuan University International College (NUIC) organized its annual academic service project at Watyang-en School in Phitsanulok. The goal of the event was to enhance the English language skills of 80 students in grades 4, 5, and 6. The main objectives of the project were to improve students' English proficiency, boost their confidence in using the language, provide practical experience for IHRMD students studying "Training & Development in the 21st Century," and fulfill the department's commitment to social responsibility. The project was carried out by 13 students enrolled in the Training and Development class, who designed and implemented interactive activities tailored to the needs of the young learners. These activities included language games, storytelling, and role-playing, all aimed at making learning English both educational and enjoyable. Lecturers from the IHRMD department were present to supervise and ensure the success of the project. The NUIC team was welcomed by Ms. Jintara Junchu, the head of the Foreign Language department, and other teachers in the department whose support was instrumental in facilitating a collaborative and successful event. By the end of the day, students showed noticeable improvements in their confidence and enthusiasm for using English. The project not only achieved its educational objectives but also strengthened the bond between NUIC and Watyang-en School. This annual initiative highlights the IHRMD's dedication to education, social responsibility, and community development, and the department looks forward to continuing this impactful tradition in the future.
