As a notable lecturer from Naresuan University who has been awarded a postdoctoral fellowship, 𝗗𝗿.𝗣𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗸𝗵𝗮𝘁, a distinguished lecturer in Event, Hotel, and Tourism Management, will be serving as a 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗦𝗛𝗧𝗠), 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘆, 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗼𝗺 from August 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025. This esteemed position has been offered by Associate Professor Dr. James Kennell, Head of Surrey Hospitality and Tourism Management.

Dr. Phisunt's research project is titled "𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗘: 𝗔 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗨𝗞 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀." His study aims to investigate and compare the methods employed by UK event organizers and venues to mitigate environmental impacts and enhance corporate social responsibility (CSR).

During his tenure at SHTM, Dr. Phisunt will actively engage with the academic community by contributing to the SHTM Weekly Research Seminar Series and delivering guest lectures to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. He will also present his research findings at a UK conference and collaborate with Dr. James Kennell on submissions to high impact and quality academic journals such as ABS or SJR.
