📍 July 18, 2025 – The Lower Northern MICE Academic Cluster, organized by the Event, Hotel and Tourism Management Program at Naresuan University International College, proudly hosted the “𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐃𝐌𝐂 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓” competition at the Main Conference Hall, CITCOMS, Naresuan University.

This dynamic event was honored by the presence of Mrs.Orachorn Wongpan-ngam, Director of MICE Capabilities Development Department at the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), who delivered strong words of support for the competition and its impact on the future of Thailand’s MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry.

This nationwide competition offered university students a unique opportunity to showcase their creativity, innovation, and strategic thinking through the design of inspiring MICE itineraries that reflect the richness of local identity. The initiative aimed to empower future professionals while driving Thailand’s MICE industry toward international excellence.

The morning session featured an inspiring keynote by Miss Punnaporn Wongjunpen, Founder and Managing Director of Paula & Co. DMC Thailand, and President of the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence Thailand Chapter (SITE Thailand). Her session, “𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙇𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙩𝙤 𝙂𝙡𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙡: 𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙬𝙘𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙞 𝘿𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝘿𝙈𝘾𝙨,” provided valuable insights into destination branding and the critical role of Destination Management Companies (DMCs) in the global tourism landscape.

In the afternoon, the spotlight turned to the highly anticipated Business Pitching Round under the theme: “𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙄𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨: 𝘾𝙧𝙖𝙛𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙍𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙇𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧 𝙉𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙣 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙.” Five finalist teams from universities across the country pitched their innovative MICE travel concepts, showcasing bold ideas and strategic destination marketing.
